Our Services

All cremated remains are returned to the delivering funeral home.  They are either picked up or mailed Certified Mail via United States Postal Service.  In order to maintain a close chain of custody and insure that your loved one is returned to the proper party, we do not allow individuals to pick up cremains at the crematory.

Adult cremations are  $450.00

Infants from 0 to 1 year is $200.00.

Both prices include the $ 5.00 NYS Vandalism fee and $ 3.00 NYS Administrative fee.  Both of these fees are required by the state.

Acceptance of cremation by various religions

Most religions permit cremation.  Catholics and Protestants allow a choice between burial and cremation.  The Catholic Bishops of New York State have guidelines consistent with the U. S. Bishop’s “Order of Christian Burial” and “Reflections on the Body, Cremation, and Catholic Funeral Rites” documents.  When cremation is chosen, the Catholics call for the full celebration of the Order of Christian Funerals, including the Vigil Wake (wake), Funeral Liturgy, and the Rite of Committal. The Church prefers the body be present for these services, with cremation to follow.  The Greek and Jewish Orthodox faiths oppose cremation as do some others. We suggest you contact your local clergy if you are in doubt.

What to do with the cremains

Cremains are returned to the funeral home in a “temporary container” unless an urn is provided to us by the funeral director.  Since we work directly with the funeral home, our crematory always returns cremains to them and not to an individual or family member.

Cremains may be buried in a public or private cemetery, entombed in a columbarium, scattered or retained by the family.

There are rules and regulations concerning the disposition of cremated human remains in the United States.  The rules and regulations vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, therefore it is recommended that you check with your funeral director, state or local authorities before scattering.  Regulating agencies may include the Department of Health, Board of Health and cemetery boards.

Scattering options include scattering at sea, shooting into space, scattering from an aircraft over mountains, personal property and prominent landmarks.  Your funeral director can help you to locate agencies that provide this service.

Crematory Rules

  • We do not allow flowers to accompany the body to the crematory.  Any flowers that do will be returned to the funeral director.
  • Deceased human beings must be encased in a rigid outer container upon delivery to the crematory.  Your funeral home can provide this container.
  • No viewing of the deceased is allowed once the body is delivered to the crematory
  • Cremains are returned to the funeral home only
  • No plastic or metal caskets are accepted for cremation

Our Regulatory Agency is:
